Today is the start of our 2012 wedding season, so with our first wedding upon us, here is a post of 2011′s last!

Our last wedding of 2011 went out with a bang, being it was with a couple we got to know very well, Michelle and Kunal! This was the second part of their 2 part wedding; first was their traditional Indian wedding, and now was their modern Catholic wedding. After capturing their Indian wedding, we knew we would be in for a treat for this one. Details, details, details!! Everywhere we turned, there was something about themselves that they were able to uniquely incorporate into their day. With their Rock ‘n Roll themed wedding, everything came together, from their escort cards, to their favors, to even the plates their wedding cake was served on. Michelle and Kunal, you truly are a beautiful couple that many of us can look up to. Your love is one of a kind, and we were so blessed to have been able to photograph not just one special day in your lives, but two! Your support of our photography has been so greatly appreciated, and we hope to continue to see your love grow. As you guys have said, we feel more like “friendors” than vendors.

Melissa & Jason || Wedding

Melissa and Jason are an adorable couple with a great sense of humor, an easy going attitude, and just a whole lot of fun! We absolutely loved working with them on their special day, as well as their friends and family, who welcomed us with open arms. From all the little details, to the first look, and seeing them have a blast on the dance floor, their big day couldn’t have gotten any better. Thank you Melissa and Jason for allowing us to photograph your beautiful wedding! We wish you both many more years of love and laughter! Cheers!!

Susan + Jesse || Wedding

Susan and Jesse were married on probably the most beautiful fall day. Wait, they were married outside and had an outdoor reception on the most beautiful fall day. This was one of the things that we loved about working with this couple. They were easy going and weren’t phased by what the weather could possibly be, and if you live in IL, you know that it could have been disastrous. All they wanted was to be married to each other and to share that moment with their closest friends, family, and dog, Duke. From the dress, to their flowers, to their mode of transportation… all the details of their gorgeous wedding came together flawlessly. Thanks you Susan and Jesse for sharing your love and letting us photograph this special moment in your lives!

Courtney + Kyle || Wisconsin Wedding!

We’re back! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! We know we’ve been MIA, but we are ready to get back on track and continue to share with you some of our last weddings of 2011 =)

We had the pleasure of capturing Courtney and Kyle’s wedding up in Janesville, WI on a beautiful fall day. From all the little DIY details, to the gorgeous church, the hot red convertibles, and the unique venue, it definitely was a fun day! Thanks SO much, Courtney and Kyle, for allowing us into your lives for a day of love, laughter, and happiness. Cheers to you both!!

Jovan + Rey || Vow Renewal!

Jovan and Rey are a beautiful couple that has been married for 11 years. They decided it was time to once again, celebrate their love with a vow renewal! They chose the quaint and sweet Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge, and with close friends and family at their side, and one of their best friends as the officiant, they said “I DO” … again. Their ceremony was full of tears and laughter, especially with it being all done using quotes from songs and movies from the 80′s! The night continued with delicious food, an abundance of awesome speeches, a spectacular candy bar, and great music and dancing!

Jovan and Rey, we wish you both another 11 years (and more!) of continued love and laughter! Thank you for letting us share in your special day! Cheers!

Michelle + Kunal || Indian Wedding!

Michelle and Kunal are an awesome, AWESOME couple that we have the pleasure of working with for not just one wedding, but two! This beautiful couple decided to celebrate not just their love, but also their cultures by having both an Indian wedding and a traditional Catholic/Filipino wedding.

Last month was the first of their celebrations, their gorgeous Indian wedding. This was a first for us, and we were extremely excited! The vibrant colors, the saris, the traditions…ALL were absolutely amazing, and we can’t thank Michelle and Kunal enough for allowing us to share in this very special day.

M+K, you guys have been so great and so supportive throughout the past few months that we’ve gotten to know each other. You both are truly a couple for others to look up to! Your love for each other is contagious and we again, can’t thank you enough for letting us witness it. See you two in a couple weeks for wedding part 2!! =)

Joyce + Jeff || Wedding!

I, (N), knew Joyce way back when, maybe 10 or so years ago when I used to help teach piano lessons at a piano studio in Carol Stream. Yes, she used to be one of the students I used to teach. And yes, when she told me she was engaged I did indeed feel old. That’s beside the point though =P. Her and her fiance Jeff contacted us a while back, and we had a great meeting! We clicked instantly learning that like us, they are huge Bulls fans. We also learned that Jeff was very much into photography! Our conversation of course went astray, talking about cameras, lenses, etc. From that meeting, we knew we had made a great connection!

They got married at the beautiful St. Mary’s church in Huntley, followed by a fun and HOT (literal) shoot in Downtown West Dundee. We then headed to Meridian Banquets in Rolling Meadows for a great reception, filled with LOTS of dancing and great music.

Thank you Joyce and Jeff for sharing your beautiful, fun-filled day with us. You guys were so great and relaxed… we couldn’t have asked for a more awesome Bride and Groom! Cheers to you both and your new lives together as husband and wife!

Jessy + Greg || Wedding!

Love stories can come about from various ways. A set up from a friend, meeting at a bar, and more and more these days, from a dating website! Jessy and Greg met through just that. Match.com brought these two together, and they couldn’t be a more perfect match… well at least after their first date they were. Their not so great first date didn’t end in a traditional hug or kiss, but with a high five! Not wanting to give up on the dating scene though, Jessy asked Greg what it was about her and them that didn’t work. Well, turned out that Greg was actually still very much interested. So after more NON-high five ending dates, their love blossomed… bringing us to their wedding day.

They chose the elegant Hotel Monaco as the backdrop for their big day. Lucky for their dog, Suzy, Hotel Monaco was very pet friendly, so how could they not inlude her?! As cute as she was though, Jessy and Greg were most definitely the center of everyone’s attention. That’s what happens when you have a gorgeous bride and groom!

Thank you Jessy and Greg for choosing us to document your beautiful day. You guys rocked in front of the camera, and we hope for only the best for your new lives together! Cheers!!

Muneerah + Vinnie || Wedding!

Muneerah and Vinnie are a beautiful couple that we met last year as they started planning for their wedding. Their laid back attitude made their wedding day stress free, not just for them, but for us as well! The day could not have gone any smoother, and the weather (thank goodness) could not have been better. From the beautiful church, to the fun photo shoot at the gorgeous Museum of Science and Industry, to the awesome music and dancing at their reception, Muneerah and Vinnie planned out a perfect day.

Thank you both for welcoming us into your lives and allowing us to photograph the love and memories of your special day. Cheers to a lifetime of love and happiness. You guys are awesome! (and GO BEARS!) =)

Kelly + Greg || Wedding!

When we first meet a couple face to face to talk about their wedding, we usually spend about an hour talking about the details, the timeline, etc. We met with Kelly and Greg, talked about their wedding for about 20 minutes, and the rest of the time we talked about movies and tv shows we all liked. From that point on, we knew we’d have some fun with this great couple at their wedding!

The day started off at the lovely Herrington Inn in Geneva. While they got ready, Kelly decided last minute she wanted to do a first-look. LOVE! It was just the right amount of anticipation, tears of joy, and pure happiness. Right after their sweet and emotional first look, we walked right across the street to the beautiful Riverside Receptions.

It was an evening of love, laughter, and dancing (lots by Greg!). Thank you Kelly and Greg for allowing us to photograph all those precious moments! Cheers to you both!!
